Samsung is the best company which produces high-end Android Smartphones. Samsung has become very popular in recent years with their ‘Galaxy’ range of Android Smartphones. Two of the best and the most popular phones from Samsung are Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Both of these phones are similar in their specs. In this post we’ll compare the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Both Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 run (can be updated incase of S3) Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System and use the TouchWiz interface. Samsung Note 2 has a much larger screen of 5.5inch than the Galaxy S3 with 4.8inch. Both the devices have a nice large Super Amoled Display but the Galaxy S3 has a larger pixel density of 306ppi compared to that of Note 2 with 265ppi. Clearly, Galaxy S3 will fit nicely in your pocket where as the Note 2 doesn’t.
The Samsung Note 2 has a 1.6GHz Quadcore processor with 2GB of RAM and the Galaxy S3 has a 1.4GHz Quadcore processor with 1GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 2 has much larger storage capabilities with 32GB internal storage and the Galaxy S3 has 16GB internal storage. Both the smartphones can be expanded upto 64GB with microSD. We can notice that both the phones have very good hardware and can run all apps very smoothly.
Samsung has provided both these smartphones with good high quality camera. Both Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 has 8MP primary camera and 1.9MP Secondary camera. Because of the larger size of Note 2, it has much more battery power than the S3.
The frame of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a sleek and stylish one, with straight edges meeting at nominally curved corners. The dimensions of the phone are 80.5 x 151.1 x 9.4 mm which gives it quite a slender frame and it weighs in at a hefty 180 g. The ergonomically designed S3 has a stunningly sleek bar design and is a joy to hold in your hand. The smooth and non-linear lines and gentle curves give the S3 an elegant and natural look. The super AMOLED screen ensures that you can enjoy bright display, richer colors and optimum power processing.
Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 both are enabled with GPRS, EDGE and 3G networks, ensuring high speed data downloads and faster internet browsing. Both the phones are Wi-Fi enabled and have the Wi-Fi hotspot feature which allows them to connect to a mobile network and act as a Wi-Fi router.
The Galaxy Note 2 is not convenient for daily use as it is harder to use in one hand but it is somewhat good in the hardware. We suggest you to buy the Galaxy S3 as it can be used for daily purpose. But, it is purely left to you to buy either Samsung Galaxy S3 or Samasung Galaxy Note 2.

Nice review there Kashif! I prefer Galaxy Note 2 because it is more stylish and bigger compared to Galaxy S3. I also prefer bigger storage for my movie collection since I travel a lot and watch movies all the time.
